The [hybrid DANCE] WHY:
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++
If our life is a dance there could be meaning in it or to it, meaning we surrender to, that we like or dislike, control or are powerless to shift.

Capturing and re-defining dance for the camera in its hybrid contemporary form that suggest ontology and hermeneutic through real-life movement, patterns, pace and sound is a PaR (Practice as Research) attempt. Dance as a hybrid – a state both intrinsic and extrinsic present around and inside us. Its hybridity related to spaces where the participants, knowing and unknowing ‘dance’ together and perform some form of an acknowledged or unacknowledged ritual that can be elevated as an artistic act both captured and presented to an audience to be imitated. Dance and its force as proven cannot be limited to formally cultivated theatrical settings, as the establishment believes and likes, it cannot be removed from life if awareness and a camera exists.
